Fall or Halloween math activity to reinforce composing and decomposing

numbers to 10.  Students create each candy corn by using numbers

that make the number at the top. Ex. 10 = 3, 7  The challenge is to see how

many pieces of candy they can create.  More advanced students will be able

to use all the puzzle pieces to create 36 pieces of candy.

Use real candy corn as manipulatives to aid success when needed.

I just decided to make and add this free follow up activity sheet for this activity.  I also included it in the Candy Corn Puzzles PDF file.  I can see the kids having so much fun with this if you also include candy corn to help them out or maybe one piece for each puzzle they completed.
